Community Stability & Transitional Living Campus

The Institute for Global Cause has been granted use of a residential property in a small rural community of approximately 1,000 residents to advance its mission of strengthening communities by meeting essential human needs and creating pathways to long-term stability.

This property will serve as a community stabilization and transitional living campus, designed to support individuals and families experiencing housing instability, economic disruption, or life transitions. The campus model integrates safe housing with education, resource access, and supportive services that help residents stabilize, rebuild, and move forward with dignity.

Property Overview & Vision

The main residence includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a shared living area, a full kitchen, and both front and back porches, creating a warm, communal environment suitable for supportive housing, learning, and connection.

The property also includes sufficient adjacent land to allow for the construction of four additional living quarters, enabling a scalable residential model that balances privacy with community engagement.

Together, the main house and additional units will function as a small residential support campus focused on stabilization, education, and long-term independence.

Primary Purpose: Transitional & Stabilization Housing

The property will serve individuals and families who are:

  • Experiencing housing instability or displacement

  • Transitioning out of crisis situations

  • Rebuilding financial, educational, or employment stability

  • Seeking a structured, supportive environment while working toward independence

Secondary Purpose: Education & Resource Hub

The main house will also function as a central hub for:

  • Financial literacy and life skills education

  • Workforce readiness and employment support

  • Small business and entrepreneurship education

  • Health and wellness education (non-clinical)

  • Case management, mentoring, and community meetings

Program Capacity & Configuration

Main House

  • Shared living space and kitchen for education, meetings, and communal meals

  • Bedrooms configured to house residents individually or in small shared arrangements, depending on need and program design

Four Additional Living Quarters (Planned)

  • Independent or semi-independent units with sleeping, bathing, and living space

  • Designed to support privacy, dignity, and gradual transition toward independent housing

Once fully built, the campus could support 12–18 residents at a time, depending on final unit configuration and household composition.

Community Impact

This campus model reflects the Institute for Global Cause’s commitment to addressing the root causes of instability—not through isolated services, but through integrated support. By combining safe housing with education, financial empowerment, and access to resources, the property will help residents move from crisis to stability and from stability to self-sufficiency.

Project Funding Goal

The Institute for Global Cause is seeking $1.5 million in philanthropic, grant, and community investment to support this initiative.

This investment will fund a 24-month launch and stabilization period, including capital improvements, construction of four additional living quarters, and the staffing required to implement, operate, and evaluate the program while long-term funding strategies are established.

Project Goals

We need your donations and volunteer efforts to make this a success

The house will have a fresh garden from which participants can pick and cook healthy foods

There's plenty of additional land for the accessory structures and designated parking.

What a beautiful fireplace just waiting to be restored so participants can gather for group sessions.

This kitchen has soooo much promise, the apron sink is such a nice touch.

Large bedrooms with beautiful architecture and stunning hardwood floors just waiting to shine.

What beautiful french doors separating the gathering and eating spaces.
